forced to love and be loved.: and party and bullshit.

rayannasao:

“Of course not!” Rayanna grabbed the vodka, and made her way towards the door. Probably my last party ever. Rayanna took the vodka and took two big gulps to banish her thoughts. The girls went in the elevator, and pressed the button for the roof-top. She looked at these girls in the elevator. Soon, what would become of them. Who would be the first one to turn on her each other. She took a few more gulps, and her thoughts were silenced.

Alleigh glanced back at Rayanna, who was looking a bit tipsy, and turned to evaluate Tally’s status. A bit shocked to see that she was the only one sober, she cracked open a beer can and took a large swig before pulling away so the foam of the can wouldn’t spill on her. Already feeling the intoxicating effects of the alcohol, Alleigh giggled as she blinked her eyes, trying to focus on the doors that were reopening to show the rooftop.

Delighted to see that it was alight with streamers and strung light bulbs, Alleigh unsteadily walked in with the girls, sipping her beer as she took in the sights. Feeling the sudden ache of being homesick and stranded in a foreign land, she struggled towards the edge of the railing, and inhaled deeply so she could get rid of the muddled, conflicting feelings she had harbored in her mind over the past few days. Spinning on her heels so she faced the girls, she laughed, and changed the course of her thoughts,

"So. Let’s cut to the chase! Tell me who you guys like," She commanded with a pointed finger.

Tally was ready to have fun with the girls. She knew that Rayanna and her weren’t the best of friends but they had gotten over their aversion to each other the other night when they had drank for the first time together. And now, Tally was knocking on Alleigh’s door, where the girls had decided to…

Rayanna was ecstatic. She was able to overcome all of the conflicts, and had even made a few alliance members. Last night, she had smoothed things over with Tally, and tonight maybe she could even become friends with her. She let herself in Alleighs room, and immediately grabbed a shot. Rayanna had recently come to the realization that soon these people would become her enemies, so now she was going to live it up while she was still alive. “Hey Ladies.” she said with a wink.

Alleigh was nestled into her favorite plush chair, eyeing the girls with a smile, before clapping her hands for their attention, “Girls, girls. Surely we’re not going to throw the party in my room?” She gestured around her, hoping that they wouldn’t shrug it off as a miniscule problem, because she was quite fond of the victorian furniture.

Standing up, she grabbed a pack of beer by the plastic rings and flashed a devilish smile, “I mean, why be holed up in this floor when we can do virtually anything here?” She laughed, “Hell- let’s get wasted on the rooftop and do some crazy shit.”

— Ferdi / Alleigh; Where we take this road.

ferdibellus:

Ferdi hadn’t seen Alleigh for a day or two after the…..intimate incident. Yes, they were supposed to find someone to love, but that seemed a bit to quick, but maybe that’s how it was supposed to be?

Well either way he was going to find her, try to talk about it. It was obvious she had needed her space, but now was the time to talk.

He went to investigate the first place she would be, her room.

Alleigh was changing when she heard the knocking on the door. Irritated, she hobbled over, her jeans midway up her legs and her shirt hanging loosely around her neck. Thinking it was her set of stylists, she opened the door and prepared a long list of why they should never wash denim in hot water.

But the moment she threw the door open, indecent, and unsuspecting, she wished she hadn’t opened the door at all.

Flustered, Alleigh didn’t even give Ferdi a chance to blink before she slammed the door in his face.

the capitol's new sweetheart: Marae was in tears after her talk with Chester, and she needed to...

maraegavinstribute:

“Hah. You’re funny. I’m Marae, you are?” Marae stuck her hand out and the girl took it. “By the way, I really am sorry. I hope- Oh, your hair!” Marae wished she didn’t say the last part, it wasn’t that bad nothing a little trim wouldn’t fix. She would have to get more layers, about a centimeter had been taken off the outer bit of her hair. It was rough, and it looked odd, as a few long strands were still intact.  She didn’t seem to hear Marae, and politely replied.

“Alleigh, District 8.” She took Marae’s hand and shook it, her eyes warm and welcoming. Marae remembered Alleigh’s reaping vaguely. She didn’t cry, or even get angry. She looked lie she accepted it, in some strange way. “Wait, my hair?”

Marae awaited a reaction as her hand flew up to the cut part of her hair.

Alleigh fingered the odd lock of hair with curiosity. There was no animosity towards the other, only genuine amity. With a light shrug she laughed, “I needed a hair cut anyways.”

Waving the issue off with a hand, she continued onward with the conversation, not wanting the other girl to think she held a grudge against her due to a petty thing such as the removal of a piece of hair. Besides, coming from District Eight, where fashion was prided strongly, this was an opportunity to play around with her hairstyle, something she would not have done without this chance. And she was grateful.

"So, axes, huh?" She nodded at the demolished dummies that had endured the blade of each ax, "I hope this doesn’t come off offensive or whatnot, but have you done actual lumber work to achieve this kind of skill?" She bent down to examine the wounds, noticing that each one had hit a deadly organ, never missing their targets.

the capitol's new sweetheart: Marae was in tears after her talk with Chester, and she needed to...

maraegavinstribute:

Marae was in tears after her talk with Chester, and she needed to release her angst somehow, so she figured she should go to the training area. It had been a good way to vent so far.

As she strolled the halls, she wondered about the tributes she hadn’t met. Were they nice? Trustworthy? Would they be her friends if they were back in her home district?

She realized she was at the center and opened the tall doors, and headed to the ax station immediately. She started throwing at the targets randomly, jamming them in farther than she had ever done before.

“Stupid Chester.”

An ax was thrust into the skull of a dummy.

“Why’d you have to do something so stupid?”

The next smashed the doorknob, the shards scattering across the floor.

“Now you aren’t here when I need you most.”

A scream rang through the air, and Marae realized her last throw had landed about an inch from the skull of a pretty eavesdropper of a tribute. Her face heated up, turning a brilliant crimson colour.

“I’m so sorry! I’m sorry! Sorry! Are you ok?” She recognized this stunned girl as Alleigh from District 8, one of Tally’s friends.

“I’m sorry!” She cried.

Alleigh had been walking around the training arena, taking mental notes on each tribute so she could keep tabs on them later, when she had come across a particular one who seemed to be talking to herself as she hurled the axes into the practice dummies. Intrigued by the anomaly, Alleigh had paused and listened to the private conversation, wondering if there was anything she could do to help the distressed girl. But as soon as the thought had come to her mind, an axe lodged itself into the wall, only an inch away from her ear. The sound of a fading scream pierced her dumb-struck mind, bringing her back to reality once she concluded that it was she who let out the shriek.

Embarrassed from the thought that the tribute might have purposely attacked her for listening in, Alleigh nearly turned and grabbed a weapon to defend herself, thinking that this tribute was trying to kill her. But she relaxed her tense muscles and raised her head high, determined not to do anything rash before the Games. It was not the time to provoke people. So with a courageous smile she walked towards the girl, each step allowing her to actually hear the apology that the other was spewing out, and each step causing her to put aside her fear. She had recognized this girl. Marae Gavins of District Seven. Her reaping was tragic, like with many others, but something had struck her odd about this one. Maybe it was the way how sad she looked when she was onstage, as if an inferno of ravaged bodies were burning behind her eyes, the sadness flickering with the rage of the unfair system.

"It’s fine, don’t worry about it," Alleigh reassured the other, "Though I won’t lie. I nearly keeled over from a heart attack. Maybe you should use that tactic in the Games. Death by shock. It’d be an ironic twist."

Glitz and glam.: Lost and weary,

niccol-louise-emerson:

Niccol tilted her head as she stared at Alleigh, “Tally, who is she to Felicitas? A lover right? Well I don’t want them to be kissing on the date because she’ll be kissing anus, now that’s not very nice. But excellent plan, I love it let’s do it!” Niccol flipped through the food book and looked at the different foods, “Okay so for the brain, we can make it spaghetti it seems like ground beef. The liver can be made into a sauce, it looks like gravy so mashed potatoes? I guess most of the other stuff can be ground up and put into a dumpling with a few vegetables, am I right?”

Niccol brought the book over to Alleigh to show her the pictures, “We can order the cooks in the cafeteria to make it with those innards and a separate with just the original, but so that Tally isn’t eating innards because the orders will get mixed up, we’ll order the original first and then label it.” Niccol smiled at the idea, there was no way it could go wrong and for the first time Alleigh seemed smarter, but to not corrupt it Niccol kept her mouth shut.

"Tally is Felicitas’ girlfriend," Alleigh stated as she loomed over the books curiously, thumbing through the pages as she talked on, "They’ve been together for quite a while now. Which is surprising actually. Because I would have thought that the first couple to be formed here was going to be a quick fling or a one night stand sort of thing."

A gentle laugh crescendoed from her lips before filling the room with her melodic chuckles, “Really, now. Who can think of relationships when twenty-three of us are just about ready to sleep in a coffin than with somebody else?” With a sigh, she pulled a strand of her hair behind her ear. She knew it wasn’t her disbelief that made her sound condescending towards the love-struck couple,  it was her envy. Alleigh wanted a sweet, strong relationship like how Tally and Felicitas had, but instead she was presented with a predicament that required solitary time to herself. A predicament that revolved around her chances of survival and what she would do to obtain safety.

"So, Niccol," Alleigh flipped the cover over the book so it landed with a light thump, "Now that we’ve gotten this all planned out, how would you like to take a break with me and go swimming? I’ve been dying to test that indoor swimming pool."

A shadowed evil crept into her smile as she stared at Alleigh and laughed, “Yes, we’re going to make him eat brain, liver, tongue, and anus. And when he does, we’ll be there to laugh at him. That’s why I need your help, we need to think of a way to trick him into eating it. Maybe slipping it into his food?” As the doors to the elevator glide open Niccol pulls Alleigh into her room down the hallway. As she clears the table she places books on the table from a nearby chair. “So what should we do?”

“Let’s do something that appears unbelievably simple yet in actuality is complex and evil,” Alleigh plopped herself down on plush couch and used hand motions to exaggerate her set of plans, “For example, we could prepare a picnic that has all sorts of delicacies made of whatever you said earlier and hide them in a private spot. Then we can send anonymous letters to Felicitas, posing as Tally, and get him to meet her in the picnic spot. Then we’ll do vice versa for Tally and bring her out as well.”

Alleigh took a deep breath and continued on, “And they could possibly believe that Capitol set them up a date to make the episode exciting and hopefully, they’ll go with it and eat.” Pausing briefly, Alleigh rethought her plan, and spoke again, “Well- let’s not make Tally’s food full of innards because she’s a friend of mine. But go nuts on Felicitas.”

She cocked her head, flashed a dazzling grin, before chirping, “What do you think?”

Niccol pondered on her words, she was unable to tell if they were close or not, the kind words restrained her from telling her of what she planned to do, but instead she hesitantly pulled her towards the doors and into the elevator and pushed the 11 button.

“Okay, you can help but I’m not sure you would like too, because you seem to have a close tie to Felicitas…?” Niccol scratched the back of her head as she lingered on her last words ending it almost as a question. The small ‘bings’ of the floor levels echoed in the background as the slowly went up.

"Oh," Alleigh waved her hand nonchalantly, brushing off the connection from her to Felicitas as if it were a persistent fly, and laughed, "We’re not close at all. Why? Are we going to do something devious?"

She eyed the other girl with her bright, lively eyes before curling her lips into a mischievous smirk, “Because if we are, then I am all in.”

niccol-louise-emerson:

Nicool placed a hand on her cheek as she laughed and waved off the thought of that day when they collided in the library and Alleigh had fled leaving her to collect her books again and return back without discussing her plan with Alleigh. “No no, it’s fine really. I can manage, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to take part…” The thought of eating brain by herself and Felicitas laughing made Nicool clench a fist. And he seemed like such a gentleman.

“Oh yes! Felicitas, you dressed him up very nicely. He looked like such a gentleman.” She tried to pick her words carefully, trying not to be offensive to him in front of Alleigh because they might have special ties, “He’s, erm… Charming.” A small speck of sarcasm was placed in her words as she smiled at Alleigh.

A sharp pang of inexplicable annoyance and pride filled her petite chest, causing Alleigh to don a strange scowl mixed with a tender smile, before she nodded curtly, “I’m glad that you found it to your liking. It was rather difficult finding something suitable for his stature, since he’s so tall and broad, but I managed to make do with what he had.” A light laugh bubbled out of her mouth as she recalled the struggle to find normal clothing she had to face in his luxurious room, “It was almost impo…”

She trailed off with a thoughtful expression. She wasn’t supposed to talk about him like this, in this positive connotation. If anything, she should still bear a grudge against him for pulling a stunt like that, but she couldn’t find anything against him. She feared him, to be honest. Alleigh was afraid of being too open and he was good at prying open secrets. She shook her head, she had to hate him. With a smile, she turned back to Niccol, “What were you saying about me not taking a part of something? I’d like to help if possible.”

Glitz and glam.: Lost and weary,

niccol-louise-emerson:

Nicool walked into the training room, the glossy, glass doors sliding with elegance. After studying vigorously about plants and berries she was itching to work with the swords, to mold the pewter metal as an extension of her arm and wield it using it’s hidden mysteries locked behind it’s glistening appearance. This thought soon faded, too many tributes were already in the training room and that meant jeopardizing her hidden skill she’s been trying so hard to suppress. It was too dangerous, so instead of pointing her toes towards the sword station to hurried to the plant identifying station to work her skills out and see if she could remember everything she had learned.

As she quickened her pace, which was quite unnecessary because no one ever went there, she eyed the familiar rummaging and organizing the Capitol’s chrome tools used in the medical field. Alleigh stood there, her eyes were empty and seemed to look past the tools. Nicool slowed down her pace as she mustered the friendliest smile. “Alleigh! It’s good to see you, I haven’t seen you in some time… How are you?”

She bit the inside of her cheek, that question was too simple but it was the best she could think of since she didn’t have a topic to talk about and they hadn’t seen each others presence in some time.

Jerking up rigidly, Alleigh fixed her eyes on the familiar young tribute. Relieved that the pair of shoes she had absentmindedly seen from her peripheral vision did not belong to Felicitas or Ferdi, she mustered a polite smile in response to the girl’s presence.

"Hi, Niccol." Alleigh rested a hand on the lid of the kit, pressing it gently down, so that the contents were sealed safely in the tin chamber, "It has been a while, hasn’t it? I’m good…"

With a bitter laugh, she wrung her hands worriedly, “I’m sorry that you saw me like that. I wasn’t prepared to see any other tributes there and I was caught a little offguard…” She clenched her hands underneath the table, fearful of the girl’s reaction to her somewhat truthful statement. She wasn’t caught offguard, per se, she was more of shocked beyond comprehension. And she was sorry for running away.
